We are very pleased to introduce a new event in conjunction with the Eugene City of Peace and HELIOS: Emerald Financing of Eugene Area Sustainable Talent (Emerald F.E.A.S.T.)

 The purpose of this event is to:

• increase awareness of the importance of locally-grown "nano-businesses"
• stimulate local circulation of money
• provide instant cash grants to new and existing entrepreneurs

We have listened to you carefully the last few years and responded directly where we could. We recognized the need to change the way we work and so we kept track, wrote things down, and put on our thinking caps. Every business and entrepreneur is unique but there are some common, identifiable patterns of the challenges they face.

SPRINGFIELD CITY HALL GALLERY
CALL TO ARTISTS FOR THE 2011 EXHIBIT YEAR

Deadline for consideration is October 30, 2010

Located
at the west end of Springfield City Hall at 225 5th Street, the City
Hall Gallery presents two- and three-dimensional art by primarily local
artists. The gallery was put in place in 1986, and continues to be
operated by the Springfield Arts Commission. Open hours are: Monday and
Tuesday, 8-7 (fall & winter, 8-8); Wednesday and Thursday, 8-6;
Friday, 8-5, and Saturday, 12-5.

At least five hundred people
visit the library daily, as shown by library statistics. Because the
gallery is adjacent to the library, its visitors are comparable. No fees
or commissions are expected from artist exhibitors.

Several
months a year, the Gallery is dedicated to annual Arts Commission
events, including: a spring Youth Arts Show, work from the summer
