With the framework for the attitudes and especially the tactics that make up guerrilla marketing in hand, entrepreneurs will have the chance to bounce ideas with each other, brainstorm, and hopefully leave inspired with new creative ideas to go out and try or existing ones to tweak in part 2 of this two part series.

Social media offers the potential to reach millions of customers.  This same ubiquity also poses a challenge:  how to set your business apart in this crowded space.  An overview of social media, the class will cover the common social media sites as well as set the tone for how to set yourself and your business up for success in this
whole new online world.

This class will cover different types of legal ownership for your business and how you can take steps to better protect your business assets and limit your tax liability.  We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of sole proprietorships, limited liability partnerships, and S-Corporations.  We will also discuss the different forms that you will need to file your 2009 business taxes.

This hands-on workshop will address strategic thinking as you develop a simple for this month's marketing.
Develop planning objectives, long-term goals, and
steps
to realize those goals and move forward.

In this intensive hands-on class, you will analyze and journalize
business transactions on ledger sheets for the Broken Pots 'R Us
company.  You will learn how to properly journalize different types of
transactions so that you will be able to generate accurate
income/expense statements and balance sheets. Understanding the
concepts of basic bookkeeping provides for a better utilization of
QuickBooks or other accounting software.  Participants will receive a
free copy of Quicken 2008 personal software.
