The Business Development Centers are getting overwhelmed with inquiries from the NY Times, NPR radio, Business Week online for small businesses to interview on a host of different subjects. For example, NPR headquarters in Washington DC is looking for a "feel good" business start-up story, within the following parameters:
1. The SBDC client was downsized or took a buy-out
2. Preferably woman
3. Preferably rural
4. She/he started a business, and is currently in business.
The news reporter typically decides how to write the story first and then interviews clients that will fit the slant that they want to tell. So, if you would like to be interviewed by the news media, please click on the Contact Us button on the left side and leave us a message. Please be cautioned that the news reporter is not interviewing you to help your business, but to tell a story. Be aware.
