eDev received notification from the US Small Business Administration on Monday, August 17th that our application to become a certified SBA microloan lender has been approved.   eDev was one of eight new microlenders approved in the nation and the only one in the western United States.   eDev will receive $150,000 in microloan funds to loan out to small businesses.

Start-up businesses are frequently unable to access business loans from banks (except through the use of credit card access checks).  The purpose of this microloan program is to target emerging good businesses that need funds to grow.

eDev will be holding a series of microloan orientation sessions in Eugene, Springfield, Cottage Grove, Florence, Junction City, Oakridge, Veneta, and Burns during the last several weeks in September.  The orientation sessions will focus on the requirements that will be expected from the loan applicants and how to access the loan program.  Dates will be posted in our Events Calendar.
