eDev receives US Bank grant
eDev received a $4,000 grant from US Bank to provide financial literacy training for our clients in the IDA small business grant program July 22, 2010. The IDA small business grant provides a match of $3 for every one dollar that is saved by low income individuals. This popular program currently has slots available. US Bank has provided grant funding to eDev for the past three years for the IDA program. eDev is very appreciative of the grant award.
eDev thanks the Northwest Area Foundation
eDev works with lots of public and private partners to provide economic development services to our clients. When we receive grants from foundations and private companies, we thank them for their support.
eDev has received a $75,000 grant from the Northwest Area Foundation in May 2010. The purpose of the grant is to increase our organization's capacity to provide better skills development to emerging microentrepreneurs from the initial stages of idea development, business start up, business growth, and business maturation. Our proposed Emerging Business Development System provides a customer-driven learning system that is closely tied to the company's stage in business life cycle. We deeply appreciate the support and funds provided by the Northwest Area Foundation.
Both the city of Eugene and the city of Springfield have approved $30,000 and $15,000 Community Development Block Grants to eDev beginning July 1, 2010. The funds will be used to provide training to low income individuals living in those cities.
eDev has also received an Individual Development Account grant from the Neighborhood Fund to provide funding for 33 to 40 clients for our small business grant program. Clients will receive $100,000 in small business grant funding.
eDev was also awarded a $22,000 technical assistance grant from the US Small Business Administration in May 2010 to provide services for our $150,000 SBA microloan fund.
